Jack McCormack - Sales and Purchasing Manager
775-629-6167 - jack@coolclassicsinternational.com
Growing up in Anchorage, Alaska, in a home that was literally surrounded by cars, Jack McCormack developed a lifelong passion for all things automotive. After high school, he spent over a decade working hands-on with vehicles—starting at an air-cooled VW shop building engines before moving on to Jeep and Toyota dealerships. At 23, he enrolled at the University of Nevada Reno, where he earned both a Mechanical Engineering degree and an MBA within six years. During that time he balanced a demanding schedule to pay the bills—grading literally thousands of individual papers for professors, developing hardware in an engineering lab for a PhD student’s self-piloted parachute research, and leaving town to work race weekends around the continent with teams competing in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Series and Ferrari Challenge as often as possible to maintain some resemblance of a steady income.
Before joining Cool Classics International, Jack built a diverse career as an R&D, Manufacturing, and Automation Engineer in the laboratory automation and aerospace tooling industries. Living in Reno, Nevada—home to CCI’s main warehouse—Jack connected with the Cool Classics crew and began tagging along to various car events and inspecting hundreds of cars at west-coast auction weekends. After years of collaboration and shared passion, he officially joined the team as Sales and Purchasing Manager in December 2024.
Outside of work, Jack is a proud father of two boys and spends as much time as possible outdoors with them—skiing, hiking, biking, coaching their soccer teams, and camping.

David Baertschiger – Mechanic
775-629-6167 - dave@coolclassicsinternational.com
David Baertschiger joined CCI in June 2024, bringing with him a lifetime of hands-on experience and a deep-rooted passion for automotive engineering. He attended the Jim Russell Racing School at Laguna Seca in the 1990s, then worked in logistics across various industries — including a stint with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus — to pay the bills while still spending every spare moment around cars. From 2001 to 2012, he instructed drivers for yourprivatetrackday.com at many of the West Coast’s most renowned racetracks. Most recently, before joining CCI, David spent eight years as a Mercedes-Benz dealership technician.
His daily driver — a 1989 Audi 90 Quattro with 342,000 miles, its original drivetrain, and still under his ownership since new — is a testament to his dedication to craftsmanship and longevity. A lifelong enthusiast with a soft spot for German cars, David focuses on bringing vehicles up to CCI’s exacting standards, ensuring every one performs as beautifully as it looks. When he’s not refining inventory or working on project cars, you’ll find him starting and heat-cycling cars in the collection — on the same schedule as the painters of the Golden Gate Bridge: when the last car is started, it’s time to do it all over again.
With Swiss-German heritage, it’s no surprise that many of David’s family members drive European vehicles — many of which have been owned and maintained for over six decades. Automotive enthusiasm runs in the family; his father was a Mercedes-Benz dealership parts manager, and David loves driving cars as their designers intended them to be — in a spirited manner.
